We are excited to announce that EMWT Advisers and Agents Ltd received their carbon neutral certificate following last week’s Masterclass Seminar for financial professionals. Organized by FEIFA and CIFSA, the bi-annual Seminar took place in Limassol to keep local financial professionals informed about the latest industry regulations and innovations.
The Seminar included a presentation about billion-air movement which is on a mission to reduce CO2 by 1 billion metric tons by 2030. Through its four pillars of action, billion-air aims to empower financial professionals to act and reduce carbon emissions to achieve this ambitious goal.
Following the presentation, EWMT took immediate action and decided to offset its emissions to become carbon neutral. To achieve this accreditation, the local insurance advisers calculated their business carbon footprint and offset it via billion-air’s offset project portfolio.
First ones to become carbon neutral

Having received their certificate, EWMT insurance agents and advisers, are the first carbon neutral CIFSA members! The organization is officially carbon neutral as well as supporting sustainable development as it offset its footprint through certified projects that support UN Sustainable Development Goals.
As a carbon neutral member of billion-air movement, the advisers will now educate their clients and communities about carbon emission reduction and sustainable finance to fight climate change.
